Music video production

A music video is the one format where the image has the right to matter more than the explanation. Nobody here is waiting for arguments. The viewer decides within seconds whether the track does something for them, and that decision is made by the eyes before the ears. So we begin a music video not by looking for locations, but by asking which single image a person should remember before they remember the title.
This is not an area we work in for turnover. Music videos are where the camera can do more than it can in business work — and where we test the solutions that later appear in commercials and corporate films.
Three pieces that show best how we work with artists.
Dramatic Echo — “3 Seconds”. An electronic music project where the video is held together by masks, colour and darkness. More than 20 actors, a nightclub space, and not a single AI-generated frame.
Deanz feat. Alexa Cappelli — “Let U Down”. A vocal remix in which dance carries the entire narrative. Movement matters more here than editing tricks.
EVEN x Ieva Uli — “Saulėj debesų”. A summer video in natural light, partly from the air. The key was not to overdo it — to leave room for the song itself.
How a music video differs from a commercial
- In advertising we lead the viewer towards a decision. In a music video, towards a feeling — and words will not get you there
- The edit follows the structure of the song, not the logic of a script: the rhythm dictates shot length
- Light here is not illumination but mood — often the main means of expression
- Mistakes cost more. There is usually no time to reshoot, because the artist has already moved on to the next track
How it looks from the inside — frames from the set and from preparation.
“3 Seconds” — a music video up close
Our largest music project is the debut video “3 Seconds” for Dramatic Echo. We wrote the script and organised the entire production, with direction entrusted to Dainius Bervingis, choreographer at Kaunas Musical Theatre. More than 20 actors appear on camera, the main location was a nightclub, and the action also moves into a moving car.
We asked the actors not to act, but to step into the character and live the emotion in real time. That is the slower route, but the only one that gives you a frame you believe. For the same reason we deliberately avoided AI-generated imagery — only real people in real situations carry emotional weight.
On a project like this, production is half the work:
- Script and shot list, agreed with the director and the choreography
- Casting, scheduling and directing more than 20 actors on set
- Locations, permits and the logistics of night filming
- Bringing in partners — part of the project was supported by business sponsors
- Technical crew: camera operators, lighting, make-up, transport
If an artist arrives with an idea but no team, this is exactly the part we take over.
How we work
- We listen to the track and look for the one image the whole video will rest on
- We write the script and shot list and agree them with the artist — so there are no arguments on the shooting day
- We assemble the team: director, camera operators, lighting, make-up, actors, locations and permits
- We film and review the material on set, while everything can still be redone
- We edit to the structure of the song, grade the colour and prepare versions for YouTube and social media
What is included
- Script, directorial idea and shot list
- Production: crew, locations, schedule
- Equipment and set lighting
- An edit built on the rhythm and structure of the song
- Colour grading
- Horizontal and vertical versions
- Stills from the shoot, ready for the artist’s social media

Frequently asked questions
Can you work with my idea?
Yes, and that is the most common case. An artist feels their own song better than anyone else. Our job is to turn that feeling into a shot list and to say openly which part of the idea cannot be delivered on the available budget.
How long does a music video take?
From idea to final version usually three to five weeks. Filming is normally one day; most of the time goes into preparation, editing and colour grading.
Can you find actors and locations?
We can. For “3 Seconds” that meant more than 20 actors, a nightclub space and filming in a moving car. The artist only has to turn up and perform.
Do you film only music videos, or concerts as well?
We film live performances too. If a whole event needs covering, that becomes event filming, where we work with several cameras at once.
