The people behind Mačiukas Media
The core of Mačiukas Media is three people who have worked together for four years.
The people who discuss the project with you are the same people who stand on set afterwards. Fewer hand-overs, fewer misunderstandings.
When a project needs more people, we bring them in. The decisions, however, stay with us.

First I look for the idea. Composition comes after that.
A beautiful image is not a goal in itself. Before the camera is switched on, I need to understand what we are actually saying and why it should matter to the person on the other side of the screen.
That is why I sometimes spend more time analysing than filming. I dig into the subject, question the client and look for the one idea a whole video strategy can be built around.
Once that idea exists, everything else begins: direction, camera, lighting, composition.
It is perfectly possible to film nothing very beautifully. That is not something I am willing to deliver.

I see the frame nobody planned.
On set I am not only the photographer — I film, set lighting and help build the overall look. But the moment I pick up the stills camera, my own script begins.
The moments that interest me most usually happen between the planned shots. When someone stops posing for a second. A glance. Hands. Light that fell well where nobody aimed it.
So a client leaves a shoot with more than the video that was planned. Sometimes the best photograph of the day is the one nobody had on the list.

If something on set is not working, I am the one who fixes it.
Sometimes everyone is ready to roll and I can still see that something is off. The light is too flat. The background too empty. The person blends into the wall. Or the frame is simply missing something.
On set I do practically everything — operate the camera, set lighting, look for angles and solve the technical problems a client is better off never noticing.
My favourite moment is when an ordinary space on the monitor suddenly stops looking ordinary.
Usually all it was missing was one lamp. Or those twenty centimetres.
What you can expect
Technical quality — lighting, sound and image — will match the value of your services. Whether we are filming in a noisy factory or a quiet office: we can build something cinematic where at first glance there is nothing.
You do not have to worry about whether it will look good. That is our responsibility.
A beautiful image can be produced in many ways. We are more interested in understanding why it needs to be produced at all.
If that is where your thinking about video starts too, let’s talk.
We also write about video marketing for national media — eight articles published by 15min.lt, Delfi.lt and Lrytas.lt are collected in our press coverage.
